Repository-wide refactor report — CDM/CSH institutional web discovery
Date: 2026-06-14
Packet: sources/inbox/2026-06-14-cdm-csh-institutional-web-discovery
Branch: development
Governance: Repository-wide refactor + mandatory Promotion Discovery Rule
Executive summary
Imported 32 institutional URL captures (20 seed URLs + 12 linked pages) from official DePaul CDM and CSH research web properties. Many listings duplicate resources already in the corpus (CyberLabs, IRL, NexGeN, RAL, CoBaAB, VARC, iD Lab, STEM Center, etc.). This refactor promoted 9 new resource pages, reinforced evidence on 6+ existing pages, corrected PER-002 (Jay Cunningham → RAISE Lab, not RAL), and preserved 8+ psychology/sub-lab signals as candidates lacking standalone facility pages.

Hardware technology & equipment (callout)
New equipment documentation:
- CDM-001 (IRL): added stop-motion animation studios (2) to data/resource_equipment.yaml from Research Labs listing (3D printers, laser cutters, thermal formers, sewing machines already documented).
Existing hard-tech resources corroborated (no new pages): - CDM-004 CyberLabs — 11,000 sq ft; robotics/cybersecurity (listing + dedicated page capture) - CDM-007 Secure Design Lab — IoT smart-home testbeds (listing) - CDM-008 DeMobile 5G Lab — LTE/LTE-A networks, SDR 5G testbeds (listing) - CDM-012 VAD Lab — HoloLens, HTC Vive, Oculus, AR headsets (listing) - COM-001 VARC Lab — VR/AR headset inventory (parent center promoted)
Deferred (insufficient standalone facility evidence): - CSH psychology sub-labs (Social Development, Healthy Families, Emotion & Cognition, etc.) - ME Lab, Streaming Lab (COM) — listed under COM-002 only - DePaul Originals Game Studio, Collective Futures Film Lab
Duplicates acknowledged
The CDM Research Labs listing names 40+ labs/studios, of which ~25 already had resource pages (CDM-001–024, UNI-006, etc.). This import intentionally did not create duplicate pages for those entities; it added evidence reinforcement and parent-center structure (CDS, CCE).
