Description & capabilities

Faculty materials-science research laboratory for synthesis and structural characterization of transparent conducting oxides, hydroxyapatite (synthetic bone), and complex oxides. Capabilities include in situ high-temperature x-ray diffraction, pair-distribution function (PDF) analysis, and electrical characterization.

Active national-lab user program: DePaul news and peer-reviewed publications document Advanced Photon Source (APS) beamtime for this group — e.g. ZITO pair-distribution functions (PUB-010; Atomic Anatomy) and synchrotron powder diffraction at APS beamline 11-BM (PUB-095). See also Advanced Photon Source (APS).
